Be sure to review and complete all appropriate documents and bring them to your interview.

Also, please review the Tektronix Web site to learn more about our products, our culture, and working at Tektronix.
We believe that your interview at Tektronix should be informative as well as enjoyable!
Tektronix is an equal employment opportunity/affirmative action employer and proudly abides by all applicable state and federal regulations, including but not limited to: The Federal Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988; The US Department of Labor Employee Polygraph Protection Act of 1988, and the Federal and Oregon Family and Medical Leave Acts. In addition, Tektronix strives to maintain a harassment free and safe environment for applicants, vendors and employees. For more information on each of these topics contact your Tektronix Recruiter.
E-Verify Notice for Tektronix
Federal law requires that all employers who are Federal Contractors verify the identity and employment eligibility of all new employees (including U.S. citizens) within three days of hire. Employers are required to complete a Form I-9, and employees must provide employers with documentation establishing both identity and eligibility to work in the United States. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Social Security Administration (SSA) have established an electronic system called E-Verify to assist employers further in verifying the employment eligibility of all newly-hired employees. In short, through E-Verify, employers send information about you to SSA and DHS (only for non-citizens) to ensure that you are authorized to work in the United States and that your name, Social Security number, and date of birth match government records.
Tektronix may only check E-Verify after you have been offered and have accepted a job, and you have completed the Form I-9. Tektronix may not use E-Verify on applicants (i.e., pre-screening you through E-Verify before hiring you), and Tektronix may not use E-Verify selectively to verify some associates and not others.
Tektronix may only check your employment eligibility in E-Verify if you are hired for a new job and not if you are currently working for the Company.
Tektronix must use E-Verify for all new associates at participating hiring sites, regardless of national origin or citizenship status.
Tektronix may not use E-Verify to discriminate against you based upon your national origin or citizenship status or for other unlawful reasons.
Tektronix Application for Employment
It is important that you complete 100% of the applicable fields on the application. Contact information for your employment history and particularly your professional references should be up-to-date and appropriate for contact during regular business hours. Email addresses, rather than physical addresses, for your references, are appropriate. Professional References are managers, supervisors or peers who can provide insights on your work skills and abilities.
Non-disclosure Agreement
The use of this form is to ensure the protection of Tektronix confidential information that could be disclosed during the interviewing process. It is important that you print and read this form before signing it. If you have any questions concerning this form, please contact your recruiter.
Pre-employment Drug Testing
Please review this important information regarding Pre-employment Drug Testing prior to your interview. If you have further questions, please ask your recruiter at the interview.
All offers of employment by Tektronix are contingent upon the applicant successfully completing the company's Pre-employment Drug Testing Program. If an offer of employment is extended to you by Tektronix, you will be required to participate in this program. The purpose of the Drug Testing Program is to help maintain a drug-free workplace, to ensure the safety and security of our employees and visitors, and to ensure that Tektronix continues to attract the best possible employees. A Human Resources Representative will instruct you as to where and how to arrange for the drug test.
Please note that you must present yourself to provide a specimen at the collection facility designated by Tektronix within 3 business days from the time an offer is extended (verbal or written, whichever comes first) or the offer will be withdrawn and you will be ineligible for employment by Tektronix for six months. Do not attempt to get your own test done, as it must be done at a Tektronix-designated facility.
Contrary to advice you might have received from others, do not drink large quantities of fluids in the eight hours prior to your collection to help avoid diluted specimens.
A sample of your urine will be collected under carefully controlled conditions. These controls ensure to you and Tektronix that the specimen of urine tested is the sample collected from you. If there is any evidence of improper or undocumented handling, the specimen will be rejected by the lab before testing.
The individuals collecting the urine specimen are trained in the proper collection and handling of the specimen in preparation for its transport to the laboratory. You are responsible for following the instructions given to you by the collector.
The urine sample you provide will be tested for specific drugs that are potential drugs of abuse. The test is done in two stages. The first is called a screening test, which will determine if there are any drugs in the urine specimen. If no drugs are found with the screening test, the testing stops here and the test is reported as NEGATIVE.
If drugs are found in the urine by the screening test, then a second test is performed using a very accurate and specific test that measures selected drugs and their by-products in the urine. This test is called a confirmation test. This test is done to eliminate any false positive drug test results. If this test finds any of the specific drugs, it is reported to Tektronix' Medical Review Officer (MRO). The MRO will contact you, and will give you an opportunity to provide an explanation for the presence of the drug(s) in your urine. If you have no legitimate reason for the drug being found in your urine, the test will be reported as POSITIVE to Tektronix' Human Resources department. A positive test will remove you from eligibility for employment at Tektronix for six (6) months.
If you take prescription medication, be sure you have the prescription number or your doctor's name and telephone number handy to provide to the MRO for verification. Remember that it is your responsibility to provide the necessary documentation to prove that your use of a potential drug of abuse is legitimate.
If you are informed that your test was invalid, it most likely means the specimen you provided was dilute. It does not imply any drugs were found in the specimen. However, if you have not passed the test, you must be re-tested prior to finalizing employment with Tektronix. A Human Resource Representative will contact you for instruction on how and where to retake the test. Do not attempt to get your own test done, as it must be done at a Tektronix-designated facility. A second dilute specimen will remove you from eligibility for six (6) months. Evidence of tampering with the drug test or specimen will also remove you from eligibility for employment at Tektronix for (6) months.
