Question: Some units on startup report an error "Command requires installation of accessory card" (1151) as well as an error claiming that a script or line of code cannot be executed. The instrument may also then not respond to some commands or actions.
Answer: Delete any "autoexec" or "setup" scripts on the device by using the scripts management menu. Then send the SCPI command "SYST:POS RST"
Note: This issue is caused by saving a script that executes automatically during bootup and then making a change to the state of the instrument that prevents this setup from being completed, such as removing an accessory card from the back of the instrument that is used in the setup script. These scripts are saved with names that start with "autoexec" for TSP scripts and start with "setup" for SCPI scripts. TSP scripts merely require the removal of the script of this name while SCPI scripts also require you to set the system to run the default reset on startup using the command "SYST:POS RST" as otherwise it attempts to run a script that does not exist generating error 1141.
